‘The Morning Show,’ ‘Succession’ Lead Critics Choice Awards TV Nominations

“Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Beef,” “Lessons in Chemistry” and “A Small Light” also receive multiple nominations

“The Morning Show” and “Succession” led all programs in television nominations for the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards, which were announced on Tuesday morning.

“The Morning Show” received six nominations, including Best Drama Series plus acting noms for Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Nicole Beharie and Karen Pittman. “Succession” received five, Best Drama Series plus nods for actors Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfayden.

Seven different programs – “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Beef,” “Lessons in Chemistry,” “Loki,” “Reservation Dogs” and “A Small Light” – received four nominations in the 20 categories, which only consist of program and acting categories.
